Only a Day Away

We leave tomorrow, Fri, Aug 15th, for Tennessee.

No matter what vacation Karen and I have ever taken we've always included a roller coaster (or 2 or 3). In keeping with that tradition our first stop BEFORE our cruise will be Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, TN. It is owned by Dolly Parton and there are more SHOWS than COASTERS but they keep adding new coasters every couple of years

There has been some confusion about our itinerary aboard the boat. Our tickets say one thing, websites say another, and other people who will be on our boat say something else. I decided to call and email the towns we are going to in order to find out when they think the DQ will be in town. Here is the final run down of cities and dates.

The excitement is building. Soon the Delta Queen will sound its whistle as we pull away from the dock in downtown Nashville.
